Missouri Local Government Employee Retirement System (LAGERS)

Project Details

LAGERS engaged ICON Integration and Design to perform a full data project in support of them moving from their legacy system to a new benefits administration system. This data project began in February 2008 and concluded when LAGERS went live with their new benefit administration system in March 2010. This data project used the full ICON methodology to assess, profile, cleanse, transform, migrate, and reconcile data from the legacy systems to the new benefit administration system. LAGERS is a statewide public pension system with 50,000 active and retired members and over 600 reporting employers.

An early decision was made to bring forward all membership data from the beginning of the system”, said LAGERS Executive Director Keith Hughes.  He added,  “We were able to accomplish this goal using a comprehensive data project designed by ICON, and by starting the cleansing 6 months prior to the replacement project, staff had all membership data in a consistent format to transfer to the new computer system as implementation dates arrived.”
