Public Employees Retirement Association of New Mexico (NM PERA)

NM PERA hired ICON Integration and Design in August of 2016 to provide expert data services, including, data analysis, data assessment, data cleansing, and data consulting. NM PERA is refreshing their current benefit administration system and addressing known data issues that have caused NM PERA staff to perform manual work arounds and exert additional effort. NM PERA is a statewide public pension system with over 100,000 active and retired members and over 700 reporting employers.

Texas County and District Retirement System (TCDRS)

TCDRS has engaged ICON Integration and Design since July 2015 to assist in their COMPASS system replacement project. ICON provided an initial Data Conversion Project plan and continues to provide data assessment, data reconciliation, and data testing services. TCDRS is a large statewide system that administers a wide range of benefit plans for nearly 700 employers and over 300,000 active and retired members.

University of California (UCRS)

UCRS hired ICON Integration and Design to perform a full data project to ensure high data quality as they implement a new benefit administration system. The project began in early 2014 and is on-going. The effort includes data assessment, data analysis, data migration, data reconciliation, and other services. UCRS is a large pension system with over 200,000 active and retired members and sixteen reporting entities.

Virginia Retirement System (VRS)

VRS has used ICON Integration and Design on two separate engagements. From the fall of 2009 through deployment in late 2012 ICON performed a full data project in support of VRS installing the first phase of a new benefits administration system. This data project used the full ICON methodology to assess, profile, cleanse, transform, migrate, and reconcile data from the legacy systems to the new benefit administration system. Beginning in January 2014 ICON was asked to perform a second full data project at VRS as they developed the remaining features of their new benefit administration system. This project is ongoing. VRS is one of the largest public pension systems in the country with half a million active and retired members and over 800 employers.

Wisconsin Department of Employee Trust Funds (DETF)

DETF engaged ICON Integration and Design to perform a full data project in support of DETF moving from multiple legacy systems to a new benefits administration system. This data project kicked off in January 2014 and is ongoing.  This data project is using the full ICON methodology to assess, profile, cleanse, transform, migrate, and reconcile data from the legacy systems to the new benefit administration system. DETF manages very complex systems including the administration of insurance and pension programs. DETF is one of the largest public pension systems in the country with half a million active and retired members and 1,500 employers.

Arkansas Public Employees Retirement System (APERS)

APERS hired ICON Integration and Design to perform a full data project in support of APERS moving from their legacy system to a new benefits administration system. This data project began in June 2013 and is ongoing. This data project is using the full ICON methodology to assess, profile, cleanse, transform, migrate, and reconcile data from the legacy systems to the new benefit administration system. APERS is a statewide public pension system with 75,000 active and retired members and over 700 reporting employers.

Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho (PERSI)

PERSI hired ICON Integration and Design to perform a full data project in support of them moving from their legacy system to a new benefits administration system. This data project began in October 2010 and concluded when PERSI went live with their new benefit administration system in September 2016. This data project used the full ICON methodology to assess, profile, cleanse, transform, migrate, and reconcile data from the legacy systems to the new benefit administration system. PERSI is a statewide public pension system with over 100,000 active and retired members and over 700 reporting employers.

Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP)

HOOPP chose to utilize ICON Integration and Design during the summer and fall of 2015 to perform an independent assessment of the state of data quality and data processes at their pension system. The resulting report provided a clear picture to HOOPP of where they stood with data quality. HOOPP was also in the process of migrating to a new benefit administration system at the time and used the information for that effort as well. HOOPP is a large Toronto based pension system with approximately 500 reporting entities and over 260,000 active and retired members.

Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS)

TRS utilized ICON Integration and Design to perform a full data project as they moved from multiple legacy systems to a new benefits administration system. The project began in June 2012 and ICON completed work on schedule and under budget by transferring the full responsibility for data management tasks to TRS as they requested in February 2016. This project demonstrated how flexibly ICON can serve clients to meet their needs and desires. TRS is the third largest public pension system in the United States with over 1.2 million active and retired members and nearly 1,400 employers.

Wyoming Retirement System (WRS)

WRS hired ICON Integration and Design to perform a full data project in support of them moving from their legacy system to a new benefits administration system. This data project began in late 2010 and ended after WRS went live with their new benefit administration system in July 2014. This data project used the full ICON methodology to assess, profile, cleanse, transform, migrate, and reconcile data from the legacy systems to the new benefit administration system. WRS is a statewide public pension system with nearly 100,000 active and retired members and over 700 reporting employers.

North Dakota Public Employee Retirement System (ND PERS)

ND PERS chose to engage ICON Integration and Design for a specific effort to ensure high quality data for ND PERS as they worked through the effort of migrating data from their legacy system to a new benefits administration system. The ICON Integration and Design effort on this project occurred from July 2009 to February 2010.  The major tasks performed was data reconciliation and serving as a coordination focal point and deep pension data expert. ND PERS is a statewide public pension system with over 35,000 active and retired members and nearly 400 employers.

Missouri Local Government Employee Retirement System (LAGERS)

LAGERS engaged ICON Integration and Design to perform a full data project in support of them moving from their legacy system to a new benefits administration system. This data project began in February 2008 and concluded when LAGERS went live with their new benefit administration system in March 2010. This data project used the full ICON methodology to assess, profile, cleanse, transform, migrate, and reconcile data from the legacy systems to the new benefit administration system. LAGERS is a statewide public pension system with 50,000 active and retired members and over 600 reporting employers.

An early decision was made to bring forward all membership data from the beginning of the system”, said LAGERS Executive Director Keith Hughes.  He added,  “We were able to accomplish this goal using a comprehensive data project designed by ICON, and by starting the cleansing 6 months prior to the replacement project, staff had all membership data in a consistent format to transfer to the new computer system as implementation dates arrived.”

Kansas City Public School Retirement System (KCPSRS)

KCPSRS hired ICON Integration and Design to perform a full data project in support of them moving from their legacy system to a new benefits administration system. This data project began in late 2007 and ended after KCPSRS went live with their new benefit administration system in 2009. This data project used the full ICON methodology to assess, profile, cleanse, transform, migrate, and reconcile data from the legacy systems to the new benefit administration system. KCPSRS is a small public pension system with nearly 10,000 active and retired members and 26 reporting entities.

Iowa Public Employees’ Retirement System (IPERS)

IPERS selected ICON Integration and Design to perform an initial data assessment project to identify potential data issues. Upon receiving the report IPERS engaged ICON Integration and Design to perform a full data project in support of them moving from their legacy system to a new benefits administration system. This data project began in April 2007 and concluded when IPERS went live with their new benefit administration system in December 2011. This data project used the full ICON methodology to assess, profile, cleanse, transform, migrate, and reconcile data from the legacy systems to the new benefit administration system. IPERS is a large statewide public pension system with over 250,000 active and retired members and over 2,000 reporting employers.

Public School and Education Employee Retirement System of Missouri (PSRS/PEERS)

PSRS/PEERS hired ICON Integration and Design to perform a full data project in support of them moving from their legacy system to a new benefits administration system. This data project began in January 2007 and concluded June 2010. This data project used the full ICON methodology to assess, profile, cleanse, transform, migrate, and reconcile data from the legacy systems to the new benefit administration system. PSRS/PEERS is a statewide public pension system with over 200,000 active and retired members and over 500 reporting employers.
